Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Document Studio. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Document Studio ("Service"), operated by Document Studio Inc. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use our Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and contributors of content.

By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Document Studio provides a suite of online document processing tools, including but not limited to:

PDF manipulation tools (merge, split, compress, convert)
Image processing and conversion tools
Excel file processing and conversion tools
Word document processing and conversion tools
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) services
Document signing and security features

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

3. User Responsibilities and Conduct

By using our Service, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Not upload or process documents containing malicious code, viruses, or malware
Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
Not use the Service to process documents containing content that violates intellectual property rights
Not use automated means to access the Service without our prior written consent
Not interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
Comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any violation of these Terms.

Document Studio offers both free and premium subscription plans:

Free Plan

Access to basic document processing tools
Limited number of daily operations
Standard processing speed
Basic file size limits

Premium Plans

Unlimited document processing operations
Priority processing speed
Increased file size limits
Advanced features (OCR, batch processing, API access)
Priority customer support
Ad-free experience

Payment Terms

All payments are processed securely through our payment providers
Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis, as selected
Prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated
All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

Refund Policy

Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase
Refund requests after 14 days are handled on a case-by-case basis
Usage of premium features may affect refund eligibility

5. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Document Studio Inc. and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

Your Content

You retain all rights to the documents and content you upload to our Service. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

License to Use Service

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service strictly in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include:

Modifying or copying our software or materials
Using the Service for any commercial purpose without authorization
Attempting to decompile or reverse engineer any software on our platform
Removing any copyright or proprietary notations
Transferring your account to another party

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DOCUMENT STUDIO, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR:

ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE
ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA
ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE
ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ERRORS, MISTAKES, OR INACCURACIES OF CONTENT

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

7. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Service.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiations. If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

The arbitration shall be conducted in San Francisco, California, and the decision of the arbitrator shall be final and binding. You agree to waive your right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.

10. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish the objectives of such provision to the greatest extent possible under applicable law and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

11. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Document Studio regarding the Service and supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements, proposals, or representations, whether written or oral, concerning the subject matter of these Terms.
